Good for a short stay
The breakfast was quite good. Nice variety. The setting for the hotel is very nice.
Room was a wee bit small and having to drag your luggage thru the restaurant area was a little awkward as you felt like you were interrupting guests dining experience. Overall the staff was very welcoming and the room was spotlessly clean.

Nice place for a short stay
The hotel is nice, but it has a complicated internal layout. Easy to get lost. Our room was at the back with a small window and the decor was rather gloomy - nothing particularly wrong with it except it was just... gloomy. The breakfast was nice and we had dinner there too. Location is really good. I think the interior designer was going overboard on the 'Boutique' aspect, and the colour choices were a little odd. We had a nice stay but not certain I'd hurry back.
Decor could have been brighter, and the lighting in the bedroom didn't help much.

Excellent hotel with great location, staff and amenities, would recommend.
Amazing location, right beside the strand and can walk to everything easily without being right in the middle of the town, lots of free parking options right beside the hotel too.
All staff were super friendly and helpful.
Room was extremely comfy, clean, and nice aesthetically with a modern bathroom that included a large shower and plenty of free toiletries.
Restaurant was comfortable and looked nice and the breakfast menu had lots of different options that were very tasty.
The dinner food in the hotel was a bit lacklustre, but the location provides many great options for lunch and dinner nearby so not a big problem.

Amazing hotel stay!
Amazing hotel with excellent staff. We were here with a large group of friends and Joanne couldn't have done more for us. She was so accomodating before and during our arrival making sure we had the perfect stay. Great location in portrush. Walking distance to everything. Highly recommend. We hired out the private function room too and it was an excellent size.
The rooms are quite vibrant and funky- maybe not toi everyone's taste. But they are clean and comfortable.

Beautiful hotel. I took my friend for her birthday meal and we were both very pleased. The decor is exquisite and service excellent. Very comfortable hotel and absolutely no rush to vacate our table as in other restaurants in the local vicinity. We both really enjoyed our meal and drinks all of which are reasonably priced. My first visit to Elephant Rock and I look forward to returning. My new favourite venue….thankyou.

Cocktails and Nibbles
Had an amazing experience here from start to finish. The hostess lady Charlotte was so welcoming and friendly the moment we arrived — she made us feel comfortable straight away and handled everything so professionally while still being warm and approachable.
Scott, our waiter, was absolutely brilliant all night. Attentive without being overbearing, really knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely made the whole experience more enjoyable with his great attitude and sense of humour. You can tell he really cares about giving customers a great experience.
The barman Sree also deserves a big mention — the drinks were spot on, beautifully made, and served quickly. You could see the effort and skill that went into every cocktail.
Overall, the food, drinks, and service were all outstanding. Staff like these are exactly why people come back. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning

Cocktails and a few nibbles with the girls
A great night all round. Special shout out to Scott who served us, was so attentive despite a busy tour bus arriving around the same time as us. Food came promptly and no need to leave your seat-table service lets you sit back and relax. Delicious cocktails perfect for a sit down with friends or a celebration-will defo be back! Charlotte the hostess was more than welcoming making our experience great from the minute we walked through the door!

So friendly and kind!
The staff are SO incredibly kind. The housekeeper offered to drive my to my massage appointment, as it was a bank holiday and there were no taxis available. That touch of kindness truly made my entire stay. The food was DELICIOUS. The rooms were so clean and well kept. It was so incredibly quiet, I slept wonderfully. 10/10 recommend!

Cute hotel with great location
A cute little hotel on the water in Portrush. All of the rooms are different and fun colors. Rooms are fairly small but typical for European hotels. Great location to walk into the little town, friendly staff, good food.

Great location, Great Food; a reservation issue
A perfect location, very nice room and excellent dinner and breakfast.
The only problem, was the room vs reservation issue.
It is not WYSWYG (what you see is what you get);
We paid $300 for a “classic double room”, that cames at Agoda platform with a promising view. When we arrived we were given room 6; asking whether it has an ocean view or back view, we were told they the room has NO window…very different from the room in the Agoda reservation
Naturally, we would not pay $300 for a room w/o a window.
After complaining, William was helpful getting us a “window” room (#16).

Do not book the handicapped room. No outside window. It faces reception. TV did not work.
Very clean room and fantastic breakfast. Staff was polite and friendly. The decor is modern, colorful, and unique. Location is perfectly located for beaches and town for food.
We accidentally booked the handicapped room, which is fine. However, it's like a dark cave. The info in the confirmation said it faced their "atrium". It's not an atrium. It's an indoor window that faces the reception desk. So not only is fresh air not available, you'll hear every word being said at reception all day and night. Our television also did not work. Part of what we love (especially in a dark room with no windows or sea view) is to watch Irish TV and listen to the language and history and shows. The kind gentleman tried his best to fix it and after a while of interruptions we said to forget it. It was almost 8pm and wanted some privacy and rest. It wasn't the man's fault, however no one offered to move us rooms with a working TV, or perhaps refund a bit, or do something nice like comp a drink or anything whatsoever to show that they failed the expectations of what the reservation said it would have. For a relatively high end boutique hotel recommended by Rick Steves, we left there feeling sad about how cave like the room was (I can't believe they would put a handicapped person in such a depressing space) and the fact that the service was not better to acknowledge they failed what we expected.

Can’t wait to return.
The location was perfect, not quite central central but a short walk away. Free parking outside. The hotel is completely waiter service and everyone we met from check in to check out was friendly and attentive. The blankets outside on the veranda watching the sun set were appreciated.
The coffee at breakfast wasn’t brilliant, day 2 I asked for a cappuccino and it was perfect.

Wonderful return stay
I’ve stayed here before and was really happy to be back. When I first arrived, my allocated room had a continuous low humming noise, coming from outside the window. The manager moved me without fuss and could not have been nicer. The location is wonderful and the staff were all very friendly. My breakfast on the last morning of a three night stay was possibly the best hotel breakfast I have eaten. I’m sad I only chose to eat breakfast on the last morning! I would definitely recommend!

Spent a great long weekend in The Elephant Rock. This is the sixth time we have stayed and are going back in July. Great staff, delicious food, quirky decor all overlooking the sea.

Great boutique hotel
Having stayed at the hotel on several occasions, the hotel never fails to meet our expectations for new stays. The hotel always provides a courtesy call the day before your arrival to ensure they meets any additional needs of guests. On our arrival, we were greeted by one of the owners would welcomed us back like we were members of the family and this is a great experience. Our room was ready early so we had access to drop our bags off and enjoy the view out to the sea. The bar area is very welcoming and staff very attentive, helpful and a smile on their face. We booked dinner in the restaurant which once again presented well, fully enjoyable and no time limit on the table. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of available items.
Check in and check out was very efficient with no problems encountered. A big shout to William for taking our booking and making our stay very enjoyable.

Good today again. However, there is a bit today …
It’s such a lovely place; always somewhere I visit when I come home to Northern Ireland. We had a lovely drink and food but … I so hope that their attention to detail is not slipping. Disappointed to be seated at an emergency exit as the table and chairs blocked the exit! In addition the flag advertising Elephant Rock as a boutique destination is in tatters. Please don’t lose your attention to detail as it’s always been so good.

I’ve now stayed at this hotel twice, including a visit with our baby, and each time has been an excellent experience. It’s such a welcoming and comfortable place, and it really suits both couples and families.
The service from the staff is truly outstanding—everyone is friendly, attentive, and always happy to help, which makes a huge difference, especially when travelling with a baby.
The room was spotless and very well maintained, making it a relaxing and comfortable space to unwind. Cleanliness is clearly a top priority here.
The food was also a real highlight—delicious, well-prepared, and with great variety, which we really appreciated during our stay.
The location is another big plus—perfectly situated and very convenient, making it easy to get around and enjoy the area.
Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. This was our second visit and definitely won’t be our last. Highly recommend!

Great location facing the sea, easy free parking right in front of the hotel. Close to the giants causeway. The staff is lovely and the homemade à la carte breakfast is a real plus. The rooms are very big, the bathroom is new with a geat shower and bathtube. We also tried the cocktails and diner menu. It's nice to have a choice of food with a mix of classic dishes and some more unusual, all freshly cooked.

Staff were excellent. Very welcoming on arrival. Breakfast was also excellent. Decor throughout was very quirky and all areas were spotless and well maintained.
Only the classic room was available and it was located at the side of the hotel. There was absolutely no outlook - just into a wall.so the room was really dark. Air con was available but we prefer fresh air and windows do not open. This was a big issue regarding the comfort of our stay.

Our booking was made by phone with Alisha who was very helpful & we checked in with Will who gave us good information relating to our stay. Our room was spotless, had everything we needed for a comfortable stay & the sea views were great. Breakfast was tasty, nicely presented & a good choice of options. Staff were friendly & attentive. We were celebrating a birthday & the card & chocolate in our room was a lovely touch. Thank you. We definitely would stay again & recommend.

Comfortable stay with an amazing Breakfast and thee best hospitality!
The staff were amazing from arrival to departure I haven't experienced that level of customer service in a very long time. The room was clean and bed comfortable and breakfast service was excellent, as a person who doesn't enjoy hotel breakfast Elephant Rock is the very first in a long time where I would return just for the breakfast.
Nothing, everything was just perfect, as a solo traveler it can be hard but I felt very comfortable in Elephant Rock.

Fantastic small hotel, the best we have ever stayed in.
Treat yourself and spend a few extra £,€ or $ and opt for sea view.
Unusual for hotels to have a nice bar but Eldon’s is great and excellent cocktails
One tiny criticism, a curtain between dining area and front door would be a nice addition.
