La ubicación es lo mejor del hotel, a unos metros de la estación Paddington, que va hacia el aeropuerto Heathrow y viceversa.
No funciona el elevador, es pesado llevar maletas. El lavabo del baño de la habitación estaba algo obstruido y se estancaba el agua.

Absolutely appalling. Couldn’t be worse.
Good location. That’s it.
The shower screen shattered when my daughter shut the door. Glass all over her. Legs cut to ribbons. Glass and blood all over the floor. The man on the desk wouldn’t call an ambulance, said she it wasn’t his job to do so. He was hostile to my daughter and her girlfriend. Wouldn’t help in any way.
She spent all night in A and E as had to have x ray to check no embedded glass so they missed out on the London sights. Was (and still is) limping and in pain and didn’t want to stay at this hotel as felt very nervous about the way the staff had treated her and her girlfriend. They decided they would feel safer moving to another hotel despite not being able to get the money back. I gladly paid for them to get a safe hotel.
Reported this incident to Booking.com and they spoke to the hotel who were unconcerned.
If I could give less than 1 star I would.

For a cheaper, overnight stay and to be central, was ideal.
This hotel was well situated being about 5 mins walk from Paddington station. It is a little dated, however, the rooms were clean, bedding was clean, shower was powerful. There were even complimentary toiletries which I didn't expect in the price. Fan in the room worked well, it was very hot when we stayed. Would stay again for one or two nights, but probably not if it were a longer stay. Didn't eat here, so can't comment on food. There were lots of eating places nearby and 10 mins on the tube into the West End.
The lift wasn't working and looking at the pinned on paper sign that looked like it had need there ages, I would guess the lift hasn't worked for a long time. We were on the 3rd floor, but because of the lay out, that mean 6 sets of stairs! My son and I are able so we managed, but we only had backpacks not suitcases, that would have been another issue.

My stay at the ascot hotel ruined the last stages of an amazing trip, let a poor taste in my mouth
The room was nothing like advertised, staff were rude, lift not working, just spoiled the last stages of an amazing holiday, I left the hotel a day early and booked somewhere else as the hotel was just depressing, nothing like the advertised rooms, smelt like wet dogs, filthy walls and paint work, rude staff who preferred to speak on their phones than to guests

La posizione è ottima, a soli 3 minuti dalla stazione di Paddigton. Durante il soggiorno ha fatto un caldo molto sopra la media di Londra e da subito hanno installato i ventilatori.
L'ascensore è rotto e ci sono molte scale se bisogna arrivare ai piani più alti. C'è una strana puzza per i corridoi e le stanze cadono a pezzi, come ad esempio il pavimento ed il lavabo. C'è da dire che per quelli che sono i costi a Londra può andar bene, considerando anche la comodità della posizione.

Beds were nice and comfy shower was good
Needs a good clean and tlc in the corridors and stairs the lift was out of order and I had a elderly person in my party that is bad on his legs and had to struggle to and down the stairs.

Overall good for the one night.
This hotel is very inexpensive for London and to that end it wasn't 5 star. Having said that although the room was small the bed was comfortable and room clean. Staff were helpful and although a higher number of young people (we are in our 60's) there was no noise and others staying lovely. Location is great, walking distance to Paddington Train Station and Heathrow Express and lots of other shops, pubs, restaurants, etc.
A bit noisy due to the great, central location and closeness to Paddington Station. The lift wasn't working but the staff did carry both our cases up.

Overall the building is pretty old and dodgy but not too bad. Good for cheap stay
The 24 hour check in and out was helpful as I had a very early morning flight.
They had to move all of our belongings to a new room because of maintenance and they forgot to let us know before. A couple small items went missing.

Convenient stop in Paddington
The location is VG - just a 5 minute walk to Paddington station. The express train from Heathrow terminates at Paddington.
Train network VG - reasonably well signed if you know where you are going and an information desk on the platform if needed.
Great Italian restaurants immediately beside the hotel and across the road.
Bed was quite comfortable
We were only there for 2 nights in transit, so it was adequate
The room is quite small. Wouldn't recommend staying in summer as there is no air-conditioning. There is a good fan.
The elevator does not work, so it is not suitable for those with mobility issues.
Staff do carry your bags for you.

Very affordable for the value and location
Great location just next to the Paddington station a very clean room and prepared with care. Had coffee, milk, kettle and hairdryer and clean towels. It was also on the high street but way quieter than I would have expected for central London. Friendly and professional reception staff, check in and check out very easy. I would stay here again.
My room was up and down and then down the stairs which wasn't an issue this time but if I had bigger luggage it could be quite tiring. An older building.

Okay for one night but could be much better
The bed was comfy and the room was relatively clean. The location was great as well, really close to Paddington station.
The hotel standards are really poor. The bathroom had mould on the ceiling and the property was generally quite dated. The lift didn't work so had to carry my suitcase up some narrow stairs.

It is dirty from the entrance to the rooms. It is very smelly. No elevator working there since 2024 and they have made no efforts to accommodate for guests with luggage. The staff (the only staff present) is rude at the front desk and does not like it when you ask him questions. This is by far the biggest oversell by inflated images advertised from wide angles while the rooms themselves have no AC, just a loud and dusty fan. To top it off, they are only available on a non-refundable basis, making sure that people who are not happy with their poor service can get nothing back.

Había cucarachas vivas y muertas por todos lados.
Moho en la ducha, la puerta del armario no estaba, la balda no estaba sujeta y se caía todo. La limpieza brillaba por su ausencia, polvo por todos lados. El suelo de la habitación estaba completamente bufado, era incomodo andar y las personas con dificultades se pueden caer.
Cobran 5 libras por dejar una maleta además de 50 libras de retención por si "rompes algo" cuando el hotel ya está lo suficientemente roto.
El ascensor no funciona y no se ofrecen a ayudarte con las maletas.
El personal es desagradable, no tienen paciencia y encima ponen mala cara. Intentan sacarte el dinero constantemente. También se filtraron mis datos por lo que estuve recibiendo SMS constantemente.

Staff didn’t appear friendly, didn’t speak much on check in when asked questions to them. Didnt inform us the lift had broke and we were walking up 5 flights of stairs in extreme heat. Room was red hot, cracks in the windows and carpets ripped up. Bed was uncomfortable feeling like sleeping on a bunk bed.

La ubicación es maravillosa. La limpieza de la habitación muy buena, el agua caliente excelente y sobre todo el espacio para una habitación de cuatro personas.
Nos encontramos con el ascensor fuera de servicio durante toda la estancia, si bien no fue mayor problema, al momento del check out se nos dificultó un poco la salida. Con respecto a la habitación, la ventana no cerraba del todo, por lo que a veces se sentía corriente de aire dentro.

9/10 just beacuse the amount of times i had to go to the 4th floor, around 2-4 times a day ????
it's close to paddington station. so you can go anywhere you want in london with a 5 minute walk basically. it's close to central london too, and an ebike parking spot there to rent bikes for the day. amazing spot. and also the view from the window was great.
everything was great, except that the elevator was out of service and my room was on the 4th floor. they did however offer to bring our bags up which was really nice of them. and no ACs, but i figured almost no houses in the uk even have acs.

The layout of the place - it’s like a maze
Go all the up the stairs on my first day just to see the maid not finished my room even though I arrived nearly an hour after check in so loved that lads thanks for the extra few steps.
The shower door was about to fall off had to basically shower with the door open and the if your getting changed the building outside has a full view so I had to be careful not to moon the people across the way.
The place is so run down the pictures don’t show the huge amount of shite on the floors ceilings and shower.
Fan didn’t work even though it was 30 degrees out for £100 per night I expected so much better but I suppose my hopes weren’t high once I saw the goblin who greeted me (Hi if you’re seeing this).

Hotellissa ei ollut aamiaista, hotellin hissi oli rikki ja huone oli annettu 4.kerroksesta. Saatiin pyynnön jälkeen huone 2. kerroksesta, mutta tilanne ei paljon helpottanut, kun ensimmäiseen kerrokseen oli 1,5kerrosta käveltävänä. Etsin tarkoituksella hissillisen hotellin, koska minulla on selkäsairaus, ja portaiden kulkeminen on raskasta ja kivuliasta. Tämän vuoksi emme voineet käydä päivällä huoneessa lepäämässä, vaan lähdimme aamulla ja palasimme illalla. Liikunta- ja toimintakyky heikkeni loman aikana ja olen edelleen todella kipeä. Tämä jäi harmittamaan isosti.

Great for Paddington connections and access to London for a very short stay.
Hotel Location for Paddington was my driver; it was an easy 5 minutes walk. Many local shops and restaurant options in close vicinity. Close to Paddington Basic and Little Venice, Nottinghill, Hyde park. Check in was friendly.
The room was west facing and hot due to setting sun. The windows were closed/didnt open ; the fan created too much noise ) and dust...it needed good clean. Otherwise room was simple and bed was comfortable. Shower room was small but spotlessly clean and good shower. Carpet a little dusty. TV , kettle, hairdryer.....Overall the room was fine and what I expected.
The Public areas and access to floors have definitely seen better days. The lift was out of order. (But expected that from reading other reviews) The floor and wall finishes on stairs are dirty and very tired....as you will be is you have to drag a 23kg case up the narrow stairs. The cleaning staff were cheerful.
All in all the condition of the public areas let the rooms down even compared to other similar standard hotels in London I have stayed at over the years.
