Perfect mix of effortless beauty, great service and attention to details.
The property was beautiful with stunning views and lovely gardens. Breakfast was delicious. Cocktails were wonderful. Quick walk to the center of town, and down to the lake for boat tours. Staff was excellent and attentive.
We visited one of the other luxury hotels closer to the lake and we were so happy with our choice, as it was much larger, more formal and too stuffy for us.
If I was forced to choose something, I suppose our lunch at the pool was a little underwhelming. My chicken Caesar was very bland.

Room without a view
It was not the hotel’s fault that I booked our room through a well known booking website. I picked from the choice available and went with a “Garden view” room as the only Lake view room available 5 months prior to our stay had been the Lake view Suite. At the price I was paying ( approx €1300 per night ) I expected something a little better than a small green area opposite our room window almost completely screened by large trees, which allowed very little light into this gloomy space. But worse than this is the inconvenient truth that a road runs behind the back of the hotel. It would therefore be more accurate to advertise these rooms as having a “ Roadside view” which of course will never happen. The greatest gift a hotel can bestow its guests is a good nights sleep. Alas this was all but impossible due to a steady stream of revved up mopeds and motorbikes which sped by a few yards from these sleep deprived guests on and off all night. That said, other than the terrible room we had, the Belvedere is a wonderful hotel…..great staff, great food, personalised service and beautiful views. It can’t be faulted.
In summary, staying in a back room at the Belvedere is like being on a plane cramped into economy knowing that fellow passengers were traveling first class but only paying €100 more for the privilege. This is the small difference between Lake view rooms at the hotel and the Roadside view alternatives. Chalk and cheese, heaven and hell. Buyer beware!

Amazing weekend getaway at Lake Como
Beautiful views. Very pristine room and amenities. The staff were incredibly attentive. The best. They went above and beyond every single time.
Carlotta showed us around and was very friendly and kind the whole time.
Annarita went out of her way to help us out on numerous occasions.
We were greeted by Manuel when we first arrived and he was very knowledgeable, friendly and a great help.
Arianna was very sweet and looked after us at the spa.
And then there was Alberto. Time and time again when we needed something booked, a recommendation of where to go or help getting around, he was there. He was so so helpful and really made our stay pleasant.
Thank you to everyone who looked after us.
Can’t recommend Hotel Belvedere enough.

Impeccably run, gem of a hotel.
My family and I stayed in 5 rooms across 4 days in June 2026. The beauty, attention to detail, team are all a 10 out of 10. I will list a few drawbacks but in NO way should this inhibit you from staying at one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at.
Pros:
Overall: The hotel is beautiful and the attention to detail at every corner is second to none. The view from the top of Bellagio is incredible and the hotel feels like they have the correct number of rooms to amenities. It was never full or "busy" feeling.
Staff: The team there works tirelessly and are impeccably trained.
Location: Bellagio is a great spot to operate out of. You are 5 minute walk to the top of the town and can call the free shuttle to pick you up at the bottom if you'd prefer.
Spa: I don't expect exceptional spas at smaller hotels in primarily hot climate but they had a beautiful spa with steam, sauna, ice room, relaxation rooms etc.
Some areas to improve:
Internet: The internet is fast when you get on but every time you close your laptop or your phone disconnects you are asked to go through this 4 step sign-in process. If you use a VPN, you have to turn it off, then connect then on again. It's honestly very painful and extremely unnecessary. Even the Holiday Inn has this figured out.
Garden Suites: I'm noise sensitive but some of the garden suites are under the dining patio. This means (in spite of them trying very hard to avoid it for me) that you'll hear people walking above you until midnight. That beings said, the private garden walk out was the highlight of the room. It was worth the trade off even for someone who is easily annoyed by this sort of thing.
Water: It feels a constant struggle at high end hotels to get enough cold water. You end up hoarding it.
These are all minor. My family of 9 all agreed it was one of most beautiful hotels we've stayed at.

Hotel is lovely. Pool and location are beautiful. Staff are ok. Definitely saw and felt the anti-Americans vibe, unfortunately. We were as quiet and nice as we could be but still got the look down the nose treatment. Not an inexpensive hotel to be treated that way.

Wow. This is what 5-star service is.
We’ve been to a number of nice hotels but this was by far the best service we’ve ever encountered. Everyone from the front desk, to the cleaning people, to the yard workers were friendly and said hello. There was always an intent to go above and beyond. And that’s before we get to the grounds and the rooms. The spa is fantastic and the restaurant is extraordinary. Totally worth the stop.

Beautiful views with excellent room, food and exceptionally wonderful staff
We came for our anniversary and our stay was just fantastic. The dinner, breakfast and arrival complimentary drinks were all great. The scenery was so gorgeous and walkable to town. But what was so special was all the staff. They were so friendly and helpful. Drivers were available anytime and added to our special treatment.

Family Memories in Lake Como
My husband, myself & our 11 year old son had the absolute pleasure of staying for 3 nights in the 2 story suite at the Belvedere. It was the perfect place all around. Our room was spacious, clean & the view was stunning. The grounds of the hotel were gorgeous, the pool was fabulous & the restaurants were excellent. We really enjoyed our daily breakfasts and the lunch was so good, we had to go twice. We were even able to celebrate my mother's 77th birthday there and the chef was kind enough to make her a delicious & beautiful cake.
In fact, we loved this place so much that we chose not to explore any other towns on Lake Como so that we could focus only on Bellagio and relaxing at the Belvedere. The location was quiet and was a very easy walk in to the center of town. Thank you to the staff for a memorable stay we will never forget!

Our stay was one of the most relaxing hotel experiences we’ve had in Italy. Perched above Lake Como with breathtaking panoramic views, the property feels peaceful and private while still being just a short walk from the heart of Bellagio. The rooms were elegant, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, and waking up each morning to the lake and mountains was unforgettable. great experience through email and choosing our future stay
We have not stayed at this hotel yet, but my correspondence with them this week (n December 2025) while making our summer reservations for 2026 has been so wonderful! They show hospitality second to none even through email! I am so impressed how helpful and kind (and patient) they have been with me in email as I reserved 2 rooms for our family and had questions regarding which rooms to stay. I already feel connected with this helpful staff and I have not even stayed there yet. I have a feeling we are headed for a very special stay in Lake Como and already glad we chose this hotel!

A Treasure on Lake Como
A rating of Excellent just doesn't adequately describe our stay at the Hotel Belvedere. We've been fortunate enough to stay in several very nice hotels around the world, but nothing compares to the Hotel Belvedere in Bellagio! The entire resort is quite amazing...everything is updated, the spa is quite incredible (complimentary steam room, sauna, ice room, Himalayan salt room, and more, with many other priced spa services), the rooms are beautiful and spacious, the view of Lake Como is second to none, and the complimentary breakfast is out of this world - fresh everything!...and all within a short walk to downtown Bellagio for great food and shopping. But what really makes Hotel Belvedere unique and awesome is the staff...never have I experienced a group of genuine, friendly, helpful, and generous professionals like those of Hotel Belvedere. Apparently mentioning specific people is frowned upon in a review, so to the restaurant and pool servers, the bartenders, front desk, and concierge teams, you are wonderful and YOU made our stay a treasure to remember! I could go on raving about the Hotel Belvedere, but I think you get the point...the absolute BEST hotel ever, and we will always treasure the memories of our nine-day visit with you! See you again soon.

Magical experience!!!
I visited the Hotel Belvedere with my mother at the beginning of October 2025. It was a magical experience. The staff became friendly faces I saw everyday who catered to and followed up with our every need. The property was so beautiful. The breakfast buffet was out of this world and it all overlooked lake como with breathtaking views. The shuttle into town was so helpful to my mom when she couldn’t walk. I had a lovely massage as well! I can’t say enough about the concierge desk and all the people who helped us arrange transport and reservations . This is a must stay place when in Bellagio. The rooms and bathrooms are modern, renovated and beautiful and overlook the water. Only 5-10 min walk into town if you don’t take the shuttle. We are so grateful to have found this hotel!!!

Excellent stay at Hotel Belvedere, worth every penny!
Gorgeous property, stunning view, huge balcony, great staff, and excellent breakfast! Very family-friendly hotel while also feeling upscale. My toddler loved hanging on the balcony and swimming in the pool. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and you can tell they also love kids. You can’t tell from Google maps but the hotel is easy walking distance to main village, ferry and restaurants. It was a perfect location because it was very peaceful and quiet, but super easy to walk the hustle and bustle where the tourists are. Would definitely stay here again, highly recommend!
Room was a little small for 3 of us ( we had a crib) but we made it work. We hung out on the large balcony or we were out sightseeing so wasn’t a huge issue.

Best hotel and spa in Bellagio
Best hotel and location at Bellagio. This hotel is located in a quiet area but only a 5 minute walk to the hustle and bustle of town. The staff offered 5 star service and were extremely helpful with restaurant recommendations. They arranged for a romantic private boat trip and transportation to and from the airport. The spa was the best part of this hotel! It was complimentary and by far one of the best that I have been to.

This hotel was simply beautiful and modern with the best service staff and delectable breakfast brunch. Whatever we needed the staff was there to help us with whether it was temperature or transport or reservations. They welcomed us home with open arms and always were so kind and courteous to us. I would HIGHLY recommend you stay here -5 minute walk into town and nice to be away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to access when you want. The shuttle was awesome too when you don’t feel like walking. Bellagio was also the best town in which to stay and town was very vibrant . We loved hotel Belvedere and hope you do too!!!

Elegant with modern touch!
Belvedere is an elegant hotel with a modern touch! Though our room was a bit small (310), it was perfectly comfortable and clean, with french doors and a little "Juliet" balcony that overlooked the pool, Lake Como, and the mountains beyond. The bathroom was just fine (more french doors) and very modern shower with lights and sprays. The hotel is quiet and a bit tucked away on a hill with a short walk to the center of Belliago, to catch a boat, dine, and shop! Breakfast was a simple but adequate buffet and eggs made to order. We did not dine in the hotel restaurant other than breakfast, but I was told it was quite good. Staff is professional and personable, especially Victor Manuel, who made us feel very welcome. I will return!

Homey and Dignified Stay
We spent two nights at Hotel Belvedere Bellagio in early October — myself, my wife, and our daughter — and our experience was nothing short of memorable.
From the very beginning, the communications with the Concierge were excellent: helpful, professional, and always prompt. They assisted us with arranging private round-trip transfers from Milan Lambrate (where we arrived by Nightjet from Vienna) to the hotel, and later to Milan Centrale. Both transfers were smooth, and we were fortunate to have the same excellent driver, Davide, on both journeys. They also secured for us a Venetian motor boat tour, led by a young and charismatic captain who proved to be a terrific guide to the famous lakeside villas, as well as a dinner reservation at Albori.
Our arrival was on a rainy, cold Saturday morning, yet the warmth of the hotel staff immediately offset the weather. The receptionist welcomed us into the library to wait comfortably until our room was ready, and provided refreshments and hot cappuccino — a gesture that felt both considerate and personal.
Suite 127, “Lucia,” exceeded expectations. It was spacious, spotless, and well equipped. A handwritten welcome note on the dining table was a thoughtful touch. With three of us traveling together, being able to choose our own rooms within the suite felt both homey and dignified. The toiletries (Ortigia by La Bottega) had a subtle fragrance I greatly appreciated. On the second morning, as the sun streamed through the balcony doors, the room felt almost ethereal.
The Concierge’s foresight also deserves mention: because of the weather, they suggested moving our boat tour to the next afternoon at 4:30pm. That decision was perfect — the day was sunny, the timing allowed us to enjoy dinner without hurry, and the lake shone under golden light, touched by a charming breeze, a clear and special aquatic flavor, the verdant hills rising around us, and in the distance the somewhat remote Alps with snowy tops.
Dining was another highlight. On our first evening, we ate at Albori inside the property. We each chose different dishes: the tagliolini was creamy yet light, the quaglia tender and well flavored — all truly impressive Sardinian cuisine. Breakfast, too, was delightful: a generous continental spread, highlighted by a colorful and tasty assortment of fresh fruit.
Hotel Belvedere combines attentive professionalism with a warm, homelike atmosphere. The staff’s thoughtful gestures, the quality of the suite, and the beauty of the setting all contributed to a stay that felt both comfortable and distinguished. We left with gratitude — and with the wish to return one day.

Charming and exceptional
I LOVE this hotel. Bellagio is very pretty but very crowded, and having this beautiful, peaceful and gracious hotel to return to is a joy. The rooms are lovely and there are so many thoughtful touches, the shuttle collection from the ferry, help with restaurant bookings, small snacks, water, little notes of welcome and gorgeous toiletries. Comfortable beds, quality linens, and that view. It’s spectacular. The gardens are immaculate and if you turn your head to the left from the terrace and gaze towards the lake you’ll see a perfectly planted golden ash tree that can’t help but make you smile.
Spend some time in the exceptionally well equipped spa area, and plan to waste time in the infinity spa pool looking over the lake. Have a Hugo and relax. It’s perfection.
Don’t miss the amazing omelets as a part of the delicious breakfast, it’s simply wonderful.
But the real stand out? The staff. Everyone is happy, everyone is professional and couldn’t be more helpful. The sign of a very well run hotel is when the staff seem happy to be working there.
My absolute favourite place. A proper family owned but expertly run haven in the bustle of Lake Como. Don’t miss this.

Gorgeous hotel
Fabulous hotel in the perfect location. The grounds and building are stunning. Beautiful pool with a beach area. Wonderful breakfast and fun piano bar. The rooms are nice and clean and a little on the small side, but nothing over the top like the property.

A stop along a northern Italy trip
We stayed three nights in room 505. If you don’t want to hear lots of noise from the outdoor dining terrace directly above your room, avoid rooms 505-508. In our room, the Wi-Fi signal was very weak. The shower leaked past its glass partition so much that we used two bath mats to absorb all the water each time we showered.
Now for the good: the facility, grounds, views and staff are wonderful. It’s a short, easy walk into Bellagio. When we told them about the late night noise from the terrace, they offered to move us to a different room (we were obviously not the first guests to bring this to their attention).
We would stay at the Belvedere again, just not in 505.

One of the nicest views in Lake Como region is right outside your hotel room. The Pool area and areas for outside seating near the pool are perfect spots to spend time in the late afternoon as you head into the golden hour. The staff is all professional, friendly and helpful. Service to the room is excellent and the restaurant is also outstanding, Michelin quality food and service. The Spa, Workout facilities and everything else compares favorably to any Five star hotel we've stayed in, in Italy or otherwise. A short 10 minute walk to the heart of the Bellagio tourist region puts your right close to the action

We stayed for a week for our 30th wedding anniversary and we had the most amazing time. It was simply perfect. Everyone was helpful and going out of their way to ensure we were having a wonderful time. Breakfast was superb and late night drinks were something to look forward to each day.

The view from the hotel was outstanding and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We loved the spa, and spent a lot of time using the facilities in between exploring the area. Our room had 2 floors and 2 bathrooms, which was great. The room decor was a little sparse and the style was very minimal. That's the only area for improvement in an otherwise wonderful hotel.

This is an outstanding hotel in a stunning location above the lake. Our room with small terrace and lake view was a good size with a very large, beautifully appointed en suite. Hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff, without exception are welcoming and helpful. The grounds, overlooking the lake, are beautifully maintained as is the pool area. Excellent breakfasts in a stylish dining room with lake views. Centre of Bellagio is a 10 minute walk downhill and a shuttle to and from the town centre is available on demand - an invaluable service when caught in the town in a thunderstorm as we were one evening! The owners and staff clearly take a pride in offering a top class service - I can recommend it without reservation

Luxury hotel with Gorgeous lake views
Hotel Belvedere was pure luxury. We splurge for the larger room with lake view and it was worth every penny. We spent lots of time on the balcony in the morning and after a night out. Room was very large and clean. Bathroom very large. They provide robes and slippers and good toiletries. Breakfast was delicious. Great location and short walk to town. All staff were very nice we did 3 nights in Bellagio then 3 nights in Lugano and 2 nights in Milan. We did day trip via ferry to Verenna too. I highly recommend this hotel! Get the room with the water views!

Best hotel in Bellagio
The Belvedere is a wonderful hotel on the edge of Bellagio. We could only get an essential room but were pleasantly surprised by the size and quality of the room- it isn’t essential. Large comfortable bed, excellent shower and good soundproofing.
The reception and bar area is small but most people eat and drink on the terrace overlooking the lake which is relaxed and beautiful.
The only criticism is the food costs a lot -but it is Lake Como!
Breakfast was the best we had with eggs to order and a great buffet.
Staff are friendly and go the extra mile.
It is an easy walk into Bellagio ( a slightly harder one back up the hill).
Overall would go back and a wonderful hotel.

I want to stay again - longer next time!!!
We stayed for 2 nights in August. The location is perfect. Just at the edge of the crowded center of Bellagio and very walkable. The hotel was wonderful - the rooms very clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was extensive. The dinner overlooking the lake was very romantic. The Pool and pool bar were a fun respite in the afternoon. The staff were so very helpful - they are a well synchronized team. I emailed many questions in advance and all were answered promptly. The staff truly want you to have a wonderful stay. We needed distilled water and the concierge went above and beyond to help us.
In the village, when we told shopkeepers where we were staying and that we loved it - they said they hear that all the time from guests staying at the Belvedere.
My only suggestion for any travelers is to heed the advice that there are no taxis and no ubers. If you don't have a car, prepare to walk everywhere. We tried to wait for a bus but it never came! This is not a negative for the hotel - just reinforcing what they advertise is true.

A perfect hotel in Lake Como
This hotel was everything we wanted and more for our week in Lake Como. The staff are all attentive and friendly, really focusing on attention to detail such as non-alcoholic wine in our room (I am pregnant) and laying out towels for everyone when choosing a sun-bed. The team also organised a boat hire for us one day.
We had a Superior Garden room which i highly recommend. The room is large with a small walk in wardrobe, double sinks and sofa. The best feature is the private terrace just outside with a double sun-bed overlooking the lake.
Breakfast was delicious with lots of quality options and you are served straight away with coffee. The spa is very serene and we spent every day in the pool which is an ideal size.
One of the best hotels we have stayed at and we would definitely look to return.

Fine hotel, but was not luxury as compared to other 5 star experiences.
The beds were comfortable and the original room we were in had a great view.
We only stayed for one night but had an AC leak in our room around 23:00. We were forced to move from our lake view room to a room that faced the street and were offered a $200 credit or lunch at their restaurant. The difference in room costs was much more than the $200, as well as the inconvenience of having to move out of a room at 23:00, so we were a bit disappointed that the hotel didn't offer more.

Average hotel with excellent staff
Amazing staff and always willing to help.
The hotel uses physical metal keys and that is unacceptable these days. They are hugely incovenient to carry around and feel cheap. The restaurant on site was great for the complimentaty breakfast but the dining menu was not good at all. They are trying to make "different" kind of dishes out of a simple Italian menu but the flavors are poor and they take way too long to serve. They are in Bellagio and its an Italian town, so why? They are trying too hard to be a premium hotel. An authentic italian menu would go a long way. They are inflexible with any resuests on sauces etc. The pool was cold but their fitness center is nice. Bathroom was very weirdly laid out. There was no place to put even a toiletry bag, shower was on the long wall of the bathroom with no shower curtain. So basically when you shower, the water splatters all out regardless of how hard you try to be careful. Simplly very poor bathroom design. They were great in treating our family right overall.

Amazing Hotel with views
Outstanding Hotel with amazing views, it’s not cheap but it’s value for money when it comes to memorable moments, a day by the pool simply fly’s by and we will remember the views forever. This the best property in Bellagio! The rooms are modern and spotless, the restaurants are excellent, the pool is refreshing but the best quality of the hotel is their amazing staff. They are a great team dedicated to making your stay perfect. I emailed questions and they were responsive and helpful in advance and also after arrival. Even shop owners in town said they consistently hear the Belvedere should be rated 5 stars. My only advice is there is no transportation in the town (taxi or uber) so make sure if you are not renting a car have the Bellagio book a car and driver for you.

The property is beautiful and all of the facilities were so nice - we spent a lot of time out by the pool! The staff was great - everyone was super helpful and accommodating. It was my husband's birthday trip, and on his actual birthday, they told him "Happy Birthday" at breakfast, and brought him a dessert at dinner. They made the day feel very special for him. Anytime we needed assistance, from reservations to private water taxis, the front desk was super helpful in making sure we were taken care of. Our room was amazing! The views were amazing. It was the perfect escape. We also really appreciated the option for the private shuttle when needed.
The only thing that caught us off guard is that the hotel is kind of a hike away. It's pretty high up on the hill, so it required a lot of walking to get to and from it.

Hotel Belvedere is breathtaking, but it’s Cinzia’s extraordinary kindness and care that made our stay unforgettable
We recently stayed at the Belvedere Hotel in Bellagio and are deeply grateful to Cinzia and the entire team for their kindness and care. The hotel is stunning, with spectacular lake views, a delicious breakfast, and an outstanding property. The front desk and dining room staff were attentive and welcoming throughout our stay.
A special thank you to Cinzia for noticing I was in pain and having difficulty walking. She went above and beyond by arranging for a doctor to come to the hotel. Thanks to her thoughtfulness, I was able to recover quickly and enjoy the rest of my trip.
Cinzia, you are a gracious, comforting, and truly exceptional manager. Your care made all the difference, and I will always remember it with gratitude.
