My sister and I stayed at the Club Regina and we had a wonderful time! We loved playing bingo every day, riding bikes with Alphonso, karaoke, water aerobics with Alphonso, and our room was right on the water and amazing!!! The location is super great as it is on the south end of hotel row. You can catch the bus almost in front of the hotel - which is awesome! You should go on the bike rides as they are very safe and Alphonso takes you further south - away from the bustle of things and it is very relaxing! Oh and the bartenders are wonderful too!

A Mini Resort among the Giants
My first impression as I entered the hotel was it is better than what I expected. Our room was pretty big, two rooms with a kitchen and dishwasher. We could have easily spent a couple of weeks without feeling cramped. There was a nice balcony to sit and relax even in our garden facing room. Rooms and the beds were clean though some better maintenance would certainly do the hotel good. It is difficult to maintain hotels by the seashore. The pool, seaside area and the beach were easily reachable. No need to walk too much through a big hotel. I would call Club Regina a boutique resort after having seen other monster resorts. We liked it. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel for formal dining. Good, personalized service but we felt it was a bit slow. Hotel front desk was pretty much unreachable. I had to reach them on two different occasions and gave up.

This is a favorite resort of ours. It is somewhat small, but very personal. It's very easy to get around the resort and to the beach. The housekeeping staff kept our room clan and tidy. Claudette Contreras at the front desk is also so helpful and friendly in getting us all set with our arrangements.

A gem of a small resort at the far end of the hotel zone.
My husband and I have enjoyed this resort for the past 7 years.
It is an older property, but clean and quiet, located on a section of lovely beach that is calm enough to swim.
One of the best parts of the hotel is their kind and friendly staff. A shout out to Claudette who goes above and beyond to make sure our stay at Club Regina is perfect every year!

Small friendly resort right on the southern tip of the hotel strip ( next to the Westin).
The resort is very dated, but overall clean and well cared for. The staff were very friendly overall. Transportation up the strip is great as the local buses turn around a few yards from the entrance. The food is reasonably priced although fairly average in quality. The ocean view is magnificent and the outside pool area is good, although they have no sun beds on the beach itself. As long as you accept the resort for what and where it is you should enjoy your stay

Spacious Suites, Great Staff - BUT Definitely Needs Updates
We stayed at Club Regina Cancun during New Year’s Eve week in a two-bedroom suite, and space-wise, it was great. The suite could easily sleep six people, and when we arrived, the pull-out bed in the living room was already set up for us. The kitchen was fully stocked with cookware and utensils, which made it super easy for a longer stay.
One thing that really caught us off guard, though, was being charged around $400 CAD at check-in for local taxes. For a one-week stay, that felt pretty steep and definitely something I wish I had known about in advance.
The resort itself is located at the very end of the Hotel Zone, but getting around was actually easy and cheap. There’s a bus stop right outside the property, and for just $1 USD each way, you can get to the main strip in about 20–30 minutes depending on traffic. We stopped at Selecto Chedraui on our first day to grab groceries, which worked out perfectly.
The staff here were honestly lovely - everyone we interacted with was pleasant and kind, and I have zero complaints about the people working at the resort. That said, I’d still give Club Regina 3 stars overall, mainly because the property is showing its age and could really use some updates. One of the sink faucets was leaking, one of the showerheads sprayed water everywhere, and the railing outside our suite had visible rust and deterioration. We also noticed ants around the sink and dining table. These felt more like maintenance and management issues rather than cleanliness problems. I do want to give credit where it’s due: the housekeeping team did an amazing job. The suite was clean, and it was clear they were putting in the effort.
We didn’t end up trying the on-site restaurants, but every staff interaction was positive. The beach area was well maintained, and we never had trouble finding lounge chairs, even during a busy holiday week.
Overall, Club Regina Cancun offers spacious suites, friendly staff, and easy (and cheap) transportation — but between the surprise taxes and the need for renovations, it’s a stay with some definite pros and cons.

We booked the resort on travel points and the room was huge and had everything we needed (and more). It was great to have a kitchen that we could cook in so we didn't need to go out for meals. The staff were friendly and helped us with everything from basic directions, arranging taxis and even arranged last minute transportation from the airport to the hotel on arrival.

Priceworth hotel without all inclusive
This is a very familiar and personal hotel, near the end of Zona Hoteleria in Cancun.
It is an advantage for the excursions, to come home early.
They have not all inclusive as a claim. The hotel has everything you need for a comfortable stay like bar, restaurant, pool with a lot of personal entertainment, minishop and a well equipped gym.

We have been coming to this resort since 2012 as the location on the beach is fantastic.
This resort is away from the crowded downtown area, so it is definitely more relaxing and quiet.
The staff have always been so wonderful with their friendly, helpful and accommodating attitudes.

No high pressure, the product sells itself
Royal Holiday club vacations. Excellent Experience with Ecker Sanchez and Cynthia Tello, we happily dumped our timeshare and joined the club, amazed at the variety of top-notch properties throughout the world, and the affordability of the program, plus many additional benefits. There was ZERO high pressure sales pitch, it was all clear, smooth and comfortable throughout, their offices are high tech, very welcoming atmosphere. We went to Club Regina in Cancun.

Great Staff !
I stayed 6 nights. The property is a good value and the staff is excellent, friendly, and very attentive. The pricing on alcoholic beverages is excessive and feels like Vegas. The rooms are good. However if you are on the street side , you will hear traffic. Biggest complaint was the moldy, mildew smell coming from the Air conditioner, I was waking up with headaches from the mold. I finally resorted to turning it off, and it was better. The room stayed cool enough because I was on the bottom floor. This is a problem with high humidity climates and older buildings. Being on the bottom floor did come with disadvantages of hearing activity above me. The staff is awesome. Next time I visit I will stay pay more money for a 4 star newer property. The whole mold issue is a deal breaker, I also smelled it in the Gym Area, so you know it's moldy through out the whole building vent system. They did send a tech out, and he put some deodorizing tabs in it. But that's only a band -aid for smell, and did not kill the mold, so know your breathing deodorizing fragrance and mold.

Family Vacation
Warm welcome, this property is extremely clean, pools are very clean, rooms are very comfortable and quiet. Love the location at the south end of the Hotel strip. Local buses are very easy to use for transportation along the hotel strip area, plus the ferry terminal to go to Isla.

Quiet, Welcoming and Relaxing
Our stay at Club Regina Cancun truly exceeded our expectations. Photos on line don't do it justice. It is a smaller resort but big on service. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. There are lots of activities available but nothing is shoved at you. You are free to relax and enjoy the pools or the beach. We had a wonderful week!

Bang for the buck!
This was a friends vacation with another couple; we purchased this vacation from a fundraising event. We were intrigued with this property as it had a kitchen and both couples enjoy cooking some without spending money on restaurants. Upon first arrival we found the property to be away from the hustle and bustle of the Hotel Zone; this was a plus for us as we are not partiers, but enjoy relaxation. The property was clean and neat, we were greeted by hotel staff immediately and with a smile; check in was great. The room was clean and ready for us, decorated with the standard mexican vacation design. The property is older and really could use an upgrade; if you are looking for a five star property, this is not the one, but it is clean and nice. The staff were amazing,as we find in most of Mexico, they love tourists. Overall we would stay again, and do recommend it if you want a simple place to relax.

Very Nice resort
We really like this resort. It is more intimate than the larger resorts and it feels like you get to know staff well. It is a bit dated, but they do a great job keeping it up and it is very clean. The price of the morning buffet is reasonable and very good. The other food available is at the pool bar and is also very good with happy hour specials every night for food and drink. I do think they need more help at the pool bar as it takes quite a while to get drinks and food. But the staff takes care of all the beach area too. It has public transportation that comes right to the end of the resort drive and goes all the way down Cancun Strip. Ony $1.00 American per person each time you get on. I do wish they had regular Bingo for their older guest. They play a Mexican version with pictures but is has to be done in Spanish as it is fast and so they don't have time to translate. But they do have blackjack every day and that is fun. The recreation staff was so very friendly and helpful and really everyone was so nice and helpful and we felt very safe too. This is one of our favorite resorts.

Near to the airport, great spot for joining tours to south and west
This is not a all-inclusive hotel, which is perfectly for us who wanted to join external tour activities. Because the hotel is at the south peak of the area, the tour company usually picked up at the latest (meaning you can sleep longer) and drop us at first (meaning you can get to your room at earliest).
The hotel service was great. The staffs were very kind and were patient to listen to my poor Spanish conversation. The restaurant also provides reasonably priced dinner and buffet breakfast.

Great anniversary trip!
Club Regina is located at the southern point of the Hotel Zone. Very nice resort and we had a great room by the ocean. Centrally located to anywhere we wanted to go. They need to improve the insulation in the rooms because being so close to the ocean brings moisture. However, we were very lucky to get a great room facing the ocean! The restaurant is ok, but needs to improve the menu options and the breakfast buffet. Overall, a very good anniversary trip to Cancun!

Not good- Windy so red flag all week, suite had strong, musty smell, mechanical noises, door rattled, resort fees, construction so part of pool closed, dark, winding, hot and open to outdoor hallways, restaurant not great, the suite was a timeshare but didn’t realize it as Expedia didn’t tell us. Front desk woke us twice offering free breakfast we were told by others was for presentation.

The view is excellent, the hotel has direct access to the beach, and from the room you get to see the sunset. But the hotel restaurant's food is bad and takes too long to prepare, I find walking to the convenience store to buy some tacos to be faster and better.

We came to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday and our stay at Club Regina was an amazing one, we had a very relaxing stay which we all need after the harsh winter weather. Our room is very clean and spacious, I loved that we have 2 separate rooms and bathrooms but it could have been much nicer if we have the view of the Ocean. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially Antonio ( I hope it is the right name), he helped us booked a private van to go to Tulum which saved us some money and definitely a lot of time than if we took the ADO bus. We’ll definitely stay here again!

Area- I had a calm nice five days at Club Regina. The location is the furthest away form the Hotel Zone (North) which nice to have if you are not looking to party every night.
Service- The service is great, the staff is kind to us and accommodated to all our needs and questions.
Facilities - I wish the front desk warned us about the pool was half closed as of some construction on the last floor that looked un safe. Meaning we didn't feel comfortable using the Pool as the second day we heard a BANG! as some heavy debris from their rooftop fell on the pool.
Food- Not gonna lie they had one server and one cook. the pasta we had was Dry and they just added the sauce on dried pasta. The second order was a spaghetti and also was dry and No meat as noted on the menu. We decided to eat somewhere out of the facility. Took the bus R1 - R2 as they go north and south it was easy to hop on and off and try different restaurants

The room desperately needs renovation, old and rundown, not clean! AC not effective at removing moisture, runs continuously and noisy. Bed hard. Room smells. Overpriced.

Cannot recommend strongly enough
We had the most incredible vacation here. The crew and cooks made our every wish come true, with coffees and piñas and meals on the beach. Every whim of ours and beyond was taken care of; lounge chairs brought to the beach, a market for all our needs, incredible food and drinks, beautiful sea and pools, guidance for restaurants and exploring, security and safety and comfort.. I truly could not recommend this place more and we already miss being there so much. It was wonderful.
We asked for 1 or 2 beds and were given a 2bed-2bath with a jacuzzi, balcony, kitchen and dining table for our original price. Money-wise, we got much more than our value for the money we spent with rooms, food, etc. throughout the week.
Ximena makes the best morning coffee and crepes! We miss her!

Smaller boutique resort
This an older resort on the beach of Cancun. It was clean and well kept, but building needs updates. Two pools (smaller in size) but no problem with getting chairs on the beach or around the pool. All within an easy walk on resort. Access to the city bus, is just outside the front for a trip to grocery store or other excursions in Cancun. Has all typical activities (aqua gym, karoke, zumba, card games, bingo and tequila tasting for quests. Enrique and his co-worker are amazing, always making sure to include any one in this family friendly environment. Can't say enough about all the staff. If you have a question or issue, just let them know and it will be taken care of. Workers take pride in giving the best vacation time at the resort. The only reason I gave the room 4/5 was because it has older furnishing, but was very clean. Would stay here again. Really enjoyed our time there.

Older building. Not every room has a view. The room was comfortable enough and the staff was nice. One of the pools is shaded most if the day in Feb. There are plenty of beach lounges but they get “saved” very early in the morning. We got down by 8:30 and never got a front row even though most were still empty. Not a lot in walking distance, but there is easy access to busses.

Great location, needs work
We traded into this resort through a timeshare exchange. This was the highest standard a Gold Crown resort. The property itself, pool, and beach were lovely and the staff was top notch. We had a one bed suite, facing the pool and ocean which was very nice though the weather wasn't cooperative. The bedroom accommodations were nice and the bed was comfortable. The living room not so much, with rust and mildew on sofa, rust on most metal surfaces and mildew on kitchen ceiling. Its easy to understand why this occurs as the ventilation and seals were poor letting in humidity. The living room also lacked basic furnishings such as a coffee table (which was requested and received a very beat up one) and any lamps. We enjoyed the accents leading to a Mexican feel not just a cookie cutter condo. We did a couple of activities on site and the staff were great. The pool staff were very attentive. There is daily housekeeping service to exchange towels, make bed and take out garbage.
We rented a car and did our own grocery shopping. Don't depend on locals understanding or speaking English even though this is a resort area. We used google translate a lot. Highly recommend Fred's Seafood restaurant.
Would we return to this resort? Probably but would be in contact ahead of time to ensure furnishings were updated.

Excellent property. Quiet with great facilities. Included breakfast spread was very good as well. Eligio and the lady at the egg counter take care of their breakfast guests very well. There is a bus stop very close that takes you anywhere for 12 pesos.

The staff at the hotel was absolutely fantastic. The hospitality was over the top. The only thing I would do different is stay LONGER! It is at the south end of the hotel zone, so there isn’t anything close by for shopping or groceries, but the walk is great and you can always find a cab to get back. And there is a taxi pool at the end of the driveway.

Better than expected! Need a renovation in the pool chairs and decoration but its very clean and has all the necessities like gym, pool, beach, restaurants, bar, coffee shop, mini market. This property is somewhat misrepresented online. The rooms are not nearly as well-lit or well-equipped as they appear in the images provided here. The rooms are darker, the furniture and appliances (e.g. mini fridge) quite old. The restaurant quality is extremely sub-par. The coffee served at breakfast was so astringent it smelled like rubbing alochol and made us sick.
Additionally, Expedia listed a Studio suite for 2 people with an ocean view, and charged extra for the ocean view. While we realize that is a request, the resort notified us at check in that they dont have any rooms at all for 2 people with an ocean view. All the ocean view rooms are larger. Expedia essentially charged extra for something the property doesn't offer.
The staff are not particularly friendly either, often appearing annoyed or bothered to have to help a guest. We requested fresh towels that never came, and drink service by the beach is incredibly slow. Wait waited over 20 minutes between being acknowledged by staff and someone coming to take our order - we thought they forgot about us.
This property is clearly very old and in need of renovations. Sliding doors in our room were warped and did not slide easily. The shower leaked water all over the bathroom floor, despite it being a dedicated space in the bathroom. The windows in the room did not latch properly. The rooms only have a handle lock, and no secondary chain or deadbolt.
Overall, the experience was pretty bad.

This was our second stay at Club Regina and I'd go back again in a heartbeat! The customer service is hands down the absolute best, they are so helpful and accommodating. We stayed in the 2 bedroom, 3 bathroom with living room and kitchen; I love having plenty of space for everyone. The poolside bar has great prices and makes everything fresh when you order, we enjoyed every meal and drink that we had. They have many activities that were so fun! The kids made bracelets and painted seashells, we all played bingo, they played blackjack, had a bartender class lol and karaoke. The cafe has a great variety of specialty drinks and snacks, she makes your crepe and churros when you order so that they are hot and fresh! The beach is beautiful, pools are clean, and there were so many loungers with umbrellas that you never worry about getting a spot. The massages were phenomenal. Jimena kept our space clean and stocked, was always attentive if we needed her, and found my daughters phone in the room after we checked out and rushed down to catch us! Every single host was amazing and friendly. Our time went by way too fast because we had such a wonderful stay at the Club Regina!

Disappointing on Expedia’s part that the room
I booked showed all ocean view rooms of the club suite but the room I got was Lagoon view. Disappointing because many of the rooms say “lagoon view” so I did not book a lagoon view room. I booked a room with all of its photos showing a view of the ocean but that’s not what I got. And when I checked in, they said it’s not their fault, it’s expedias.

Plesant stay
Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The food is good and they have wonderful drinks. This is an old property, the ac caused humidity in the rooms to the extent that the floors were wet!
