The hotel is lovely with spacious, updated rooms and helpful staff. The mountain views from the deck, bar and dining area are incredible. The use of the sauna and a beautiful outdoor pool is included with the stay.

The hotel was situated in a perfect spot, we went in August, and the place is walkable across town. The hotel was nice and welcoming.
Very nice atmosphere in the evenings, with the entertainment dances, kids loved it.
Overall the food was good too.
Would love to come back in the winter, can imagine it to be even nicer!

We stayed at this hotel 3 years ago and really enjoyed it. This time, our room felt very tired. It was much smaller (not sure why)… the number on the outside of the door was even handwritten on the wall because the ski that normally displayed the numbers had fallen off. I like the idea of this hotel and it is very convenient to so many things…. They just need to make sure all of their rooms are on the same page.

Rooms are really very small; for two people, no shelves to put clothing, no hooks to hang climbing gears, not even one chair to sit. But the window view of Mont Blanc charming. Nice bar and lounging area, comfortable outdoor space and great beautiful view of Mont Blanc massif

Stayed at this hotel for a family trip to Chamonix. Unfortunately, the hotel is not child friendly. If you are taking your children there, make sure you book rooms for them in advance as if they are adults, otherwise you could be in for a nasty price shock at check-in.
For example, they won’t allow a young child in a double room with her parents. You would need a triple room. If you have 2 adults and 2 young kids, a triple room is not sufficient according to their unwritten rule, so you will need to pay for a quadruple room or two double rooms.
The performances and amenities are mostly intended for adults. There is an age limit of 16 for swimming pool and spa. Lots of adults walking around the hotel in white towels.
When it comes to rooms, they are typical of a hotel room, except for the following: 1. Very poor lighting to the point I couldn’t do packing at night. 2. No AC and it can get hot and humid in the summer. 3. No privacy between shower and sink with only a transparent glass wall between them (another poor choice for a family with kids).
Upon arrival, the slippers provided didn’t look clean. The sink was not clean either with a stain on the side.
On the positive side, this hotel has a nice view of the mountains and can be great for adults and night life. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I was single or had no kids in company. It’s relatively quiet and away from the busiest part of town center.

Unique hotel where modern decor meets historic building just up hill from town and easy walk to restaurants. IMO the modern decor doesn’t work but love location and mtn views were stunning. Our 2 bdrm suit was spacious and clean and comfortable. Staff was great except for the first woman at check in who was extremely rude. Another staff member took over for her and apologized but it was shockingly poor behavior for customer service industry. Pool was quite nice but not impressed by breakfast buffet.

Stayed for four days in July. The breakfast, bar and staff are great. Reception is very helpful. The views are fabulous. The room was very hot at night as there is no air conditioning and I thought the way to the pool via the shower area was probably a bit risky regards slips on the wet floor.
The hotel is in a perfect location and overall very nice and I’d stay here again for sure.

The hotel was very nice. Rooms are quite sufficient. The only negative is that it was in the high 80’s and low 90’s during our stay and the room was very hot! We had trouble sleeping due to the heat. Staff were all very kind and friendly. Great location! And it was very clean!

This is a beautiful property and a very good location with interesting and appealing interior design. There seems to be a lot of activities going on throughout this large resort hotel. However the staff we're less than accommodating on check-in and made us wait until 4:00 p.m. when we were pretty certain that rooms were available sooner despite our Platinum status with Expedia. The breakfast buffet was good. Also we had a bit of construction noise nearby but overall a great stay

The breakfast was amazing, they had a good restaurant and bar. My only complaint is with the room. The bathroom smelled like mildew all the time. The shower is an open concept, and it gets a good portion of the bathroom all wet. The room was very dark, it had very little lighting so it was hard to see clearly putting on makeup of finding articles in your luggage.

The hotel is very close to the lifts and walkable to the shops. Our room was slightly less comfortable for our family. The view off the balcony was a roof. Thankfully the mountains towered above the roof, so the view was gorgeous. The sink leaked constantly and the TV did not work reliably. When there was a shock Spring blizzard and we were snowed in to Chamonix, they did not let us keep our room because of a private event happening. They offered to help us find another hotel in town but we ended up finding one ourselves. It was not everything I had hoped for when booking.

Spend 3 nights with family. Beautiful and fun hotel. Lots of food options and entertainment. Ski shop for rentals and ski passes is a huge bonus. Few min walk to downtown village and all the shopping and restaurants.

Loved the Folie Deuce. The entertainment and public spaces are excellent—10/10. Breakfast was great. It is also an excellent base for skiing Brevent/Flegere. But our room felt as dark and unappealing as an 80’s motel room. The sauna was crowded and the spa, in general, was pretty unremarkable/dated. I am not sure if I would stay there again, but I would definitely plan on après ski or dinner at one the restaurants. It’s the best spot in town!

My stay at La Folie Douce was exceptional. The entertainment and the convenience of having the slopes right within walking distance to the gondolas was perfect. I have to say that the check in staff were great. Seb in particular went above and beyond to make sure all my questions were answered and help me find a technician to repair my GoPro casing. I like Folie Douce for two reasons: it is located right on the slope of Savoy, so I walk directly to the lift with skiis. It is in the middle of the town center - close to everything you need without getting in the car. Facility is showing signs of deterioration - typical wear and tear of a busy hotel at ski resort.

We had a fantastic stay in Chamonix, with easy access to the slopes, making our ski days seamless. The breakfast buffet was excellent, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious options to start the day. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. Our room was cleaned daily, maintaining a high standard of comfort and tidiness.
The après-ski atmosphere at the terrace was also fantastic, with a lively and inviting vibe. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chamonix!

Great ski-in/ski-out option for families and those looking to party alike. My only criticism is that the pool area needs an overhaul. The pool was freezing and the Hamam is falling apart.

We really enjoyed the unique shows that are put on every evening: dancing, singing, saxophone, aerialist. The Jannsen Bar area is always hopping and serves lovely cocktails. There are tables to hang out and play games in the evening after dinner, making it family friendly too. Room area was quiet at night. Neat to have the Savoy poma right there to take you to the Brevent Televabine. We will recommend it to friends.

We stayed at the La Folie Douce Hotel while Chamonix was mobbed by ultra athletes competing in the 2024 UTMB ultra marathon, so the room prices were sky-high. We paid much to much for a very small dormitory style room. The hotel was clean an well maintained, and the buffet breakfast was outstanding. I would recommend this hotel if the price was acceptable.

The hotel has a nice pool area and garden area to play or sit and read. The inside of the hotel and the patio caters to a party atmosphere and has nice facilities for that including game rooms. The lobby has a nice ice water station.
The actual hotel room was extremely cramped with no hangers or closet for clothes and very little space to set luggage down.

A lovely hotel which has a very cool modern interior design look and feel. I was really happy that the room I saw on the photos when booking was the room we got. Great view from the window. Breakfast was good but could have done with some more hot food options. All though there is a lot to choose from.
Walking distance to main town and not far from the cable car that we booked.
All in all I would stay here again.

The hotel is very busy. We stayed for 3 nights in a family room (1 king-size bed and bunk beds). Breakfast at as amazing, it is a very close to town centre and has amazing views. We did have 1 issue with the cleanliness of the bed sheets, noticeable brown stains on sheets while getting into bed. This was reported to reception immediately but it was nearly 30 mins before someone came to us and by that point we were changing the sheets ourselves. We approached reception again the next morning and they apologised and stated they would do something to make this up to us but never contacted us again. Also, when we arrived, we had to wait about 30 mins to enter the car park as although email confirmation had been received the hotel wee unable to find that we had booked parking which is in a public carpark next to the hotel. The pool is very safe and clean but there is a slight shortage of sunbeds in the later afternoon. The bar area/ outside soace is fun and lively but can be accessed straight if the street so is often very busy.

Very small rooms. From the picture, it seemed like a nice suite. It was an extremely small room with three beds stacked on top of each other. Barely any room to walk. Toilets smelled bad and did not have exhaust. Very old and cramped hotel.

I do not recommend this hotel at all!
My stay at the hotel was unpleasant from start to finish. The rooms are unbearably noisy, and it doesn’t matter which direction the room faces. On one side, there’s constant noise from the pool during the day and from the garden with the billiards at night. On the other side, the rooms face the bar and restaurant, so the noise continues all night.
You can’t sleep with the windows closed because there’s no air conditioning, and the heat is simply unbearable!
To make matters worse, the internal lock on my room didn’t work properly, and at midnight, someone entered my room because the reception gave them the wrong room! It was a terrifying and unsafe experience.
Overall, my stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing and did not meet any of my expectations.
