30 minutes check in wasn't a good start, 1 lady dealing with long queue whilst other staff were visible doing nothing to reduce queue. The sloped pool is lovely and great that smoking isn't allowed on sunbeds, sadly a few abuse this throwing ash all over. The meals are very average, not enough labels on indistinguishable dishes and unsure if meat was added. If vegetarian beware as meat bits are thrown over or into most dishes, even basics like potato wedges with added ham slivers.... just why¿ Our room cleaner was the absolute worst in many years of travelling. Despite putting "make up room" sign on door for hours every morning she cleaned the ones without signs. We explained to her (in Spanish) we had baby who slept 1pm until 3pm every day but it was never cleaned for us going back, we asked reception to request before 11am clean or after 3pm but this was only done once.. we had to access her cupboard to get more than the 2 towels left for 3 of us, get new toilet roll as none left and fill shampoo and shower gel as these didn't ever get refilled, empty our bins and returnused towels. Even after leaving our own sign on door and cleaning manager getting involved it still didn't get done. We had a lovely time when out in Salou or on beach, just wish we had picked different hotel.

Hola! About the property? Good, the location good, it’s closer to the restaurants. In the rooms you can’t hear the noise outside. There buffet restaurant is clean. The facilities are clean.

If you want a budget hotel with high prices this is for you. Approx €2.70 per day for safe they give you a key. They do not explain what it’s for. It goes into the inside of safe door to turn power on so you can program it on the outside. Unfortunately they do not explain this. No toilet roll left on 1st day. Aircon not working. Then all fixed within the hour. If you like a buffet with limited choice pork will be on the menu most days. Peaches and nectarines were delicious if you could find one with no fruit mould. Other fruits fresh melon slices stewed apples pears top quality. Bread fresh. Lots of fish choice at least one per sitting. Salad always good not always cold meat available. Staff in the restaurant were very polite and helpful. Staff at the snack bar were very good. Staff at the sports bar including security were very good on every occasion. Reception only does check-in and check out. They will also order a taxi for you. Staff at the pool bar were the opposite. If you are looking for staff who blow hot and cold expect the coldness. If you are all inclusive you get 25% off premium drinks you should know that you must ask for it to be applied on most occasions. English language barrier was fairly high here with most staff saying they did not understand any questions. If however you speak Spanish there is a noticeable warmer welcome. You are permitted to smoke in the pool area beside the sign that says strictly no smoking particularly if you are the life guard. Same guard 10 days straight. Interaction was difficult for males and older women at the pool side. Beds reserved umbrellas are not. People were running about with brollies taking them when not at your bed. Lunch time was particularly bad. Pathetic behaviour. No need to get up early for the loungers. Plenty available. At 10am when the pool opens If you can cope with different rules on different days then this is the hotel for you. There is strict control of the plastic cups where you must have a ticket or a cup to get a cup. There was definite confusion with customers and staff over the requirement to follow the rules. You are only permitted 2 drinks at the bar unless the staff let you have more. So a family of 4 is a double run unless it’s not and you are permitted the family round. The children’s pool was very slippy on the tile side and witnessed several falls and a hospital takeaway. The main pool was not slippy. Granite resin used. Very high quality finish. Taxi to the marina the central buzz was £15 euros ew. (7mins) Entertainment was mostly Spanish with English translation. Rate entertainment most nights as 7/10 yet some were 3/10. Within the hotel Most interactions resulted in answers of “I do not know” The most positive experience and the best days at the pool bar we had was when the young bar manager was on. Staff were more interactive and better behaved. I witnessed lots and lots of times when his customer service was excellent. Another shout out for Jose an older bar man who has clearly seen it all before. He interacted positively with all customers. Rooms cleaned every day with fresh towels Simply doing their jobs.

Where do I start? We arrived on 30th June for a seven-night stay, and unfortunately there were several disappointing aspects of the hotel. The pool area simply isn’t large enough for the number of guests staying at the hotel. It was so overcrowded that it was difficult to swim properly. There also aren’t enough parasols for the number of sunbeds, making it difficult to find shade on many days, especially for families with young children. The hotel really needs to invest in more umbrellas to make the pool area more comfortable. The pool bar was another major issue. The queues were constantly long, and there seemed to be little urgency from the staff to reduce the waiting times. At times, staff would disappear, leaving just one person to serve a long queue. A better system is definitely needed. Cocktails and ice creams take longer to prepare, which means everyone else is left waiting even longer. Introducing a self-service drinks station for soft drinks would help reduce the queues and allow staff to focus on preparing cocktails and other items. The restaurant was equally frustrating. At most meal times there were long queues just to get inside, and once you made it through, you often had to queue again for the food. To make matters worse, some guests would simply push in front of others, with nothing being done about it. There also didn’t seem to be enough staff clearing away used plates and glasses, leaving tables uncleared for long periods. On several occasions, the plates, glasses and cutlery available were dirty, which is simply unacceptable. Once again, there were long queues for drinks, and a self-service drinks station would make a huge difference by reducing waiting times and allowing staff to concentrate on other tasks. On a positive note, the snack bar was excellent. It offered a good selection of food, including burgers, hot dogs, chips, tacos and pasta. The self-service pancake machine, available from 4pm until 7pm, was also a nice touch. However, it was quite slow, and queues would often build up because some guests were taking far more pancakes than they actually needed. As for the rooms, the pull-out sofa bed leaves very little space to move around. Once it’s set up as a bed, you have to squeeze past the end of it just to get to the balcony. Most days we ended up folding it away into a sofa simply so we had enough room to move around comfortably. Another issue was the room doors. They don’t have soft-close hinges, so guests frequently let them slam shut. This happened at all hours of the night and regularly disturbed our sleep. Something as simple as fitting soft-close hinges would make a noticeable difference to the overall guest experience. Overall, while there were a few positives, they were outweighed by the overcrowding, constant queues, cleanliness issues and lack of organisation. This hotel appears to be trying to accommodate far more guests than its facilities can comfortably handle. With a few improvements it could be a much better place to stay, but unfortunately it didn’t provide the relaxing holiday we were hoping for.

Disgusting. Lots of football teams. Staff rude food not marked Pool not open till 10. No drinks till 11.snack bar food left on tables as staff left and seagulls and pigeons all over tables. Lifeguard sat round corner on phone. God help kids if drowning. 1 day rubber rings in pool next day not then in then out. Entertainment rubbish. Was all inclusive and never spent as much money going out to eat so kids had proper food to eat. No food marked up until I told them which I could have had an alegry Pigs trotters and rabbit after. Thought pigs trotters was eaten in world war 1

The reception area was very welcoming. The terrace was nice to sit and have food and drinks in the morning.

La limpieza de la habitación y la variedad en las comidas, la amabilidad de recepción y personal de limpieza. Piscina bastante limpia y muchas hamacas. Instalaciones bastante completas, zona juegos, tiendas, animación en piscina.

Me ha gustado que en el comedor solo trabajan 3 personas para 1.000.000 turistas y el cocinero no sabe preparar un huevo frito, aparte lo hace sin guantes .Orible. Me gustó que el agua del grifo se pagara aparte aún habiendo comprado pensión completa (8 euro por comida y 8 por cena para 3 personas) También lo que he pagado es una tasa turística de 25 euros aparte ,es lo que no entiendo. En Total 1 noche con pensión completa para 3 personas ha superado el precio de oferta -17% más .

Great location good for kids

We came for 10days end of June into early July 2026. We booked via TUI and we were told it was a 3 star plus (but they said - shop at the Fort Glasgow) that it reviews as a 4 star - this is nonsense!! Let's start with the pros: Location is good, 10/12min walk to main area of salou. 3min walk round to restaurants, the night market and shops etc 5min walk to Chaplins. Lots of taxis passing also. The hotel is clean. Daily room cleaning available along with fresh towels as required. The reception staff are Very helpful and friendly. Cons: Food is below average. The buffet is limited, repetitive and choice is poor. The snack bar has very few options. They have very few staff and are extremely slow on all bars and the snack bar. Clearly a hotel tactic. All-inclusive is Not all-inclusive. You cannot get a bottle of water. You need to hand back your cup to get another drink or a token. We dont drink alcohol but go All-inclusive for waters, ice creams, soft drinks etc but most thing's are not included. No ice lollies included, very limited extras included. Limit 2 drinks pp so cant even get a water and a soft drink as you only get 1 token each and wait to be served is awful. The staff on the bars are slow, rude and unhelpful. The hotel pools are very small for the size of the hotel. Its very noisy everywhere due to the volume of people and the limited space. Lots of football teams in the hotel with little adult supervision. Be warned. The aircon is old so not great, although to be fair it was unseasonably hot (38°) but all the more reason to have water available or at least not count the water as a token. Even with your All-inclusive band, and note of your room number you still had to also carry a piece of paper with your room on it to get food. Ridiculously awkward to get into the restaurant. Even when you know your room number etc you need all 3. Annoying if anyone wants to eat at a different time. All-inclusive is only available between certain times, ive never known this on holiday. You cannot even get an all-inclusive water after 11pm, my 14 yo was refused a water at 11.05pm and didnt have cash to pay so sent away without. The toiletries are supposed to be included but we had to request repeatedly for days to get our shower gel topped up. Also toilet roll is literally sand paper. The lifts are very small, expect to be using the stairs often or waiting. Dont think ive ever written a hotel review before however we paid a lot for this holiday and were left disappointed to say the least so hopefully this helps others. All in all if we had paid a lot less we would be okay but for the money I woukd definitely consider elsewhere. We would not come back

Im going to be honest, this place made me never want to go back to salou, the staff were awful, bar one lady who worked the front reception with glasses, never go all inclusive or better still NEVER go, but when you go all inclusive your treated like second class customers, the food is dreadful for all inclusive customers compared to someone who walks in and buys food in this hotel ( I s##t you not ) microwave pissa for all inclusive people and top quality for everyone else, and the ques for getting drinks if there was 6 + people in the queue your talking 30 minutes, thats if someone is even manning the bar, And the pool, POO floating in it REALLY!!! but I can't blame the hotel for this, I can't blame them for travelers (knackers POOING in the pool and cheering each other on for doing it) but thats the kind of people this place is attracting. One night we were told the match was going to be on IN THE SPORTS BAR and the bar would REMAIN open for THE WHOLE GAME so I change everyone's plans and stayed in the hotel to watch it on a projector that you could not see like it was meant to be displayed on a 70 inch screen at a max, but it was blew up to 10 foot, rubbish. But anyway when the match kicked off at 00.00 I went to the bar at 00.15 and after I bought my drinks and went back to my seat and they turned off the TV, Not a word to me or anyone else who had changed their plans, I would have never got drinks if i knew this was going to happen, Quite annoying when on your holiday and we were told it would be on, and NO WHERE on the premises to watch it, Never mind your all inclusive closes at 23.00 every day bonkers, Now the breakfast, great for cold food that is meant to be hot or half cooked bacon ????, and warm juice and warm water, There was little to no entertainment and what was on there was dreadful, The pool tables not balanced, The rooms no hot water in the showers most of the time, I could go on for hours and hours PLEASE PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE AND ENJOY YOUR HOLIDAY

No me gustó nada el hotel, parecía de tres estrellas, el restaurante la comida malísima y sin variedad, en el bufet pagas la comida y no incluye nada de bebidas, el restaurante con mal olor , llegué y el mismo día me fui del hotel para Alania Salou que queda justo al frente… Calypso ha sido el peor hotel que he estado, una pérdida de tiempo y dinero que no reembolsan , las fotos que te muestran no tiene nada que ver con la realidad.

Ok hotel staff are a bit rude even getting food and drinks its like you are bothering them and everything is a hassel we were half board id be annoyed if all inclussive as constant ques not enough staff. Reception staff are as slow as a week in the jail. We are very child laid back people bit this was an eye opener. Felt i was like oliver in oliver twist asking for anything. Nice holiday but wldnt book her again.

The rooms are great, but I don’t think the all inclusive is worth it. When I would get a cocktail it would be way different than someone who payed for it, by different I mean super different. I ordered a strawberry daiquiri and it wasn’t even blended and in a small reusable plastic cup, while the other ones were in big cocktail glasses, also blended. I ordered a pizza at the pool bar and got a corner of a soggy pizza, while others not on all inclusive got a full nicely made pizza. I feel like even though you pay the price you are getting scraps. There is also silly rules like two drinks at a time, I understand with alcohol but even with fizzy drinks and all. They also implemented a rule later into my stay for at the pool, for “be green”. Basically you get a ticket and you have to hand it in everytime you order, one per person. You can’t get a drink unless you have it. The only way to get it back to order another drink is to bring your cup up to the bar. Keep in mind, these are reusable plastic cups so I don’t understand how its part of the hotels be green movement. Overall you are treated very different and basically given the bare minimum. Other than that the facilities are great, the is a pool bar, pool restaurant, indoor bar, arcade, and a cocktail bar. The sad thing about the cocktail bar is, all inclusive cuts off at 11pm and it closes at 12am most nights. I stayed last October and it was very different, way more staff and cleaner. So I don’t know if I’d recommend.
